About Ross.

I’m Ross.

I like multimedia. Animating, image editing, video editing, graphic design and particularly 3D modeling.

It’s all I really do.

I’m from ireland and intend on leaving it as soon as i can.

It’s not as magical as it’s made out to be.

Not by a long shot.

Hi Ross, thanks for stopping by my blog. I don’t see many bloggers who are in to animation (one of your interests). I started to learn the simplest form of animation last year – self-taught using GIMP (because I run Linux not Windows). Would love to see some of your animations posted.

Sure thing, I’m going to upload all of my work in a few weeks, at the moment I have a lot of assignments and don’t have much time to go through everything I’ve done and pick out the best + I want to make some modifications before I make anything public, I’m a bit OCD like that! The only animating I’ve done is in adobe director, it comes out quite simple but it’s effective, I’ve also done a few stopmotion animations, they’re quite fun to make ! Thanks for your interest in my blog!

Hi Ross. I see you like 3D modeling and animation. Have you heard of a game called second life? You can create 3D objects and avatar animations and upload them into the game to see them play out πŸ™‚ I have a few stores there and it actually takes care of my real life bills. If you are interested you can send me a message I think. Though I’m not sure how messaging works through wordpress lol

Thanks for liking my Lecture Fail? post, Ross.

I admire your ability to use and create animations. I’m a happy user, but not such a great creator (tho I enjoy playing around with it from time to time, as you saw in that post).

    Take care!

If Ireland isn’t to your liking, we hear Greece is a nice place. Lots of work too.

Seriously though, friends of ours save money for years to go to places like Ireland. And, some of our friends have saved money to move to the States. For our part, we’re just waiting for James Cameron to take us home to Pandora again. We want to live in a very large tree. And we want to be blue. But no tails. Those creep us out.

    Best wishes on your work.

We visited Ireland a few years ago, and we thought it was magical. Guess it’s different if you live there, huh?

I don’t know if there’s a place on Earth that’s magical. Good luck in finding it, and if you do, let me know. Deal?

Hi Ross, thanks for taking the time to read and liking my posts – it’s great to know that like minded people are liking what you are trying to do. Keep up the good work on the modelling front and keep posting. As for the megalomania … I’m sure I read somewhere that you can take something for that … :o)

Also, did you see the new plug-in for Softimage from Exocortex called Species? Talk about making body creation easy!

      Apr 20, 2012 @ 13:08:50

I’ve never used Softimage, Autodesk and Mudbox are the only autodesk software I can use so far. It’ll change eventually. Though I have seen some of what exocortex have made, surprised they aren’t a branch of Autodesk yet!

Hi Ross, I am glad you enjoyed my post. It seems like everywhere we turn its smoke and mirrors. I’ll link you on my page. The unity of aware and like minded individuals is what our oppressors fear the most.

Hey there! I would just like to thank you for the like. I use this blog primarily for my Web Design class, so it was quite a delightful surprise to see that others are looking at it too!

Also, I totally understand your view on Ireland. I’m from New York and while others might think of it as one of the most fascinating cities, all I want to do is leave..lol..

I look forward to seeing your work!

Darn! I was hoping Ireland really was where all the magic was stored. Don’t lose your accent when you leave. The irish accent is musical (not magical.)
